Event Details

Have you considered graduate studies as a part of your career path?  On Tuesday, January 18, 2011 there will be an information evening at the University of Guelph so that current undergraduates at Guelph and other universities and other holders of Bachelors degrees can explore opportunities in the College of Physical and Engineering Science in the disciplines of:

  • Chemistry (www.chemistry.uoguelph.ca)
  • Computer Science (www.socs.uoguelph.ca)
  • Engineering (www.uoguelph.ca/engineering)
  • Mathematics and Statistics (www.mathstat.uoguelph.ca)
  • Physics (www.physics.uoguelph.ca)

Also represented will be CPES interdisciplinary programs:

  • Bioinformatics (bioinformatics.uoguelph.ca)
  • Biophysics Interdisciplinary Group (biophysics.uoguelph.ca)
  • Toxicology (www.uoguelph.ca/toxicology)

Research faculty will be available to chat with you about Masters and PhD programs and graduate officers will be available to explain the process of applying to our programs.  Current graduate students will be on hand to chat about their experiences in our various units.

This event will be held in conjunction with the College's annual Careers Night so you can also chat to people in industry and get their opinions on career opportunities with and without a graduate degree.

Nibbles and beverages will be provided and our 3 hour time slot will give everyone time to chat even if you have an evening class or are driving in from out of town.

Please RSVP so that we know who is coming and be ready to explore the exciting world of research and graduate studies.

For more information about this event, please visit the CPES website (www.cpes.uoguelph.ca) as the event draws closer and please visit the department and school websites given above.

See you in January 2011 !!!
